Expedition videographer
I film expeditions in the remote and extreme places most crews will not go to.
I am Matt Stone, a UK expedition videographer. I have worked from −30°C to 6,008 metres, on long and complicated expeditions, in extreme heat and extreme cold. I direct, I shoot and I edit the films myself.
I embed with the team for the whole expedition. I spent 30 days in the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan with Spencer Matthews. In Bolivia I spent two weeks acclimatising at 4,150 metres before filming Josh Patterson's marathon to the summit of Uturuncu at 6,008 metres. On Project Se7en I travelled around the world in 21 days, finishing in Antarctica.
I am an ultra runner myself. I run, cycle and trek to be in the action for the shot, because understanding what the team is going through is part of filming it.
