Privacy notice

This website is run by me, Matt Stone, of Stone Visuals. I am responsible for the personal details you send me through it. You can contact me at matt@stonevisuals.co.uk.

When you use the contact form or email me, I receive the details you choose to send: your name, email address, company or brand, the project or event, and your message. I do not ask for payment details on this website.

When you visit the site, my hosting company, Vercel, records technical details such as your IP address and browser type in its server logs, to keep the site running and secure.

I use your details to reply to your enquiry, to discuss and quote for a project, and to keep a record of our conversation. I do not sell your details, and I do not add you to a mailing list.

I use your details because I have a legitimate interest in replying to people who contact me. When you ask me to quote for work, I also use them to take steps towards a contract with you.

Enquiries reach me through my email and a Google form, both run by Google as part of my Google Workspace account. The website is hosted by Vercel. These companies handle the details on my behalf and may store them outside the UK, under safeguards approved under UK data protection law.

The films on project pages play from YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When you do, YouTube may store cookies or similar data on your device under Google's privacy policy.

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It keeps one small setting in your browser for the length of your visit, so the opening animation plays once rather than on every page. The site works without it.

I keep enquiries for up to two years after we last spoke. If we work together, I keep project records for as long as the law requires for business and tax records.

You can ask me for a copy of the details I hold about you, and ask me to correct them, delete them, limit how I use them or stop using them. Email matt@stonevisuals.co.uk and I will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how I handle your details, please tell me first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

If I change this notice, I will update the date at the top.
